[SCYYRA] Summer Dave Perry Clinic

The US Sailing Center - Long Beach, CA with support from the SCYYRA, CISA,
Cabrillo Beach Youth Sailing Foundation and the Lido Isle Youth Sailing
Foundation is hosting a Summer Training Clinic on Tuesday & Wednesday July
13-14, 2010. This clinic will be led by coaching legend Dave Perry.

 

This clinic is for teenage Laser, Radial, C420 and CFJ sailors and their
coaches. It will be two full days (and Tuesday evening) of intense
on-the-water and classroom training in boat handling, boat speed, tactics,
strategy and rules hosted it the great sailing breeze of Long Beach, CA.

 

Tuesday evening there will be an evening talk on Tactics, Strategy and Rules
that is open to the public ($15 per person).

 

Attached is a flyer with details and registration materials. This will be a
great opportunity to tune up for the SoCal Junior Olympics and the CFJ
Nationals as well as other summer events.

 

We will try to help with housing for out of town teams (on boats at the
USSCLB or at local homes). Coaches are encouraged to attend (free for the
coach & discount for the sailors) as there will be a coaching enrichment
component to the clinic. Food for both days is included with the clinic fee.
