[SCYYRA] Level 1 Class @ SDYC December 19-22

It's not too early to start planning for that summer job.  If you plan on
coaching you should consider taking care of your Level 1 or Level 2 Class
early so there will be no problems come June when those juniors arrive.

 

The San Diego Yacht Club is hosting a Level 1 Class December 19-22, 2009.
This is during winter break, before Orange Bowl and most likely the class
with the least conflicts between now and June.  If you had problems with
last year's schedule of classes odds are 2010 will not be any better.

 

If you are planning on taking the SDYC Level 1 Class please sign up early.
Not only does the price jump real soon but if it fills after Thanksgiving I
cannot double the class size and you will have to wait until the spring to
take another class.

 

Also, for anyone interested there will be a Level 2 class at MBYC January
16-17, 2010.

 

You MUST be at least 16 years old by the start of the class, sorry no
exceptions.  CPR/First Aid/Powerboat certification are not required to take
the class but they are required to be certified so if you take them later
you must send proof to the US SAILING Training Office and it will delay your
certification.  Powerboat courses can be taken online and are real cheap if
not free.  Just Google "NASBLA
