Wood Trophy
Salve Regina University
March 14-15, 2009
Wood Trophy
Day 1
We waited for a southerly breeze until 11:00am. That gave time for the ice to melt in boat
basin. McGill showed up a little bit late, but impressed us by sailing in t-shirts and
shorts and spouting something about "spring break is here." 8A and 6B races were sailed
in 5 to 12 knots. Two protests, one request for redress were filed resulting in two
DSQs and redress granted.
Day 2
Again we waited untill 11:00am for breeze. 5A and 7B races were sailed in a
southwest wind at 5 to 12 knots with sunny skies and 50 degrees. Five protests were
filed resulting in two DSQs. Special thanks to judges Ted Green and Susan Epstein.
Winning Team: Salve Regina
